Beware of Boarding Charges

Posted by DTOM on 9/3/2009

Be aware when you pick up your pet after 12pm you will be charged a full night of boarding. So why not leave your pet another night and get your money's worth..? Our flight home was changed and we called and informed them that we would not be able to pick them up until the next day after work. Not a problem. No mention of two nights of boarding fees. I understand the overnight charge for the actual overnight stay but the 7:30am-12pm full charge is ridiculous. Informed them of what happened and all I was stated is what their policy is, even when asked how can you charge an overnight stay in a 4 1/2 hours, no valid explanation was given. So for those who travel and experience changes in travel and work as well, DO NOT use the boarding services. They care more about the money then the customer.

A wonderful caring place to take your animals

Posted by SFischer on 3/29/2009

I had to have one of my cats put to sleep because she had leukemia and they were very compassionate and all the staff is friendly. You can tell they all love animals. I have officially changed vets and will continue to see Dr. Weeks for as long as I have pets and that will be as long as I live.

Wonderful caring staff

Posted by bluerivertj on 7/25/2008

I have been looking for a new vet for almost a year and I have found the jackpot! The place is clean, the staff is very nice and the Dr. Marie really really cares about the animals she treats. She has a great relationship with the animals she treats, she is caring and not cruel or hard on the animals. They don't stress they animals out. There is always a staff member in the exam room with her to assist and treat. They are patient with the animals and will answer all your questions. The staff and doctor takes the time they need with you and your pet, not rushing or over booking. The prices are reasonable and the staff will give you a quote in advance when asked. I have heard about the other doctor problems but that is not an issue, he is there only a few days a week. Dr. Marie takes cares of most of the days and she is so sweet and nice. I now bring my two dogs to see her and I recommend to anyone looking for a vet to come here. And they do, they love it here also. This is a new state of the art facility that can handle all your pets needs. Food, treats, meds, surgery and boarding. Plus they don't hassle you if you ask for a written prescription to buy your pet meds elsewhere. A great place. Super people.

Best Staff and Facility Around

Posted by LIML on 6/17/2008

I highly recommend this facility. We have been taking our dog there for six years (since she was a puppy) and the staff has alway been very attentive and caring. Our dog actually gets excited when she sees the building and doesn't resist until it's time to get examined. Our dog was diagnosed with heartworms a few years ago (my fault) and the doctors and staff took great care of her during her treatment and provided us with all the information we needed on how to care for her during the grueling treatments. If we had a question, all we had to do was call and someone would get us an answer. I am happy to say that our dog now has a clean bill of health! When we learned she was diagnosed with heartworms, we called around to other vet offices to compare prices and this office was one of the lowest priced that we found. Now, I know there have been some legal issues with the main doctor, and I in no way condone what he did. However, when we heard the news, we discussed as a family if we should continue taking our dog and my mother said that we shouldn't just base our decision on the doctor's actions. She said if people stop taking their pets, other innocent people are affected also, like the other vets, technicians, and staff who could lose their jobs if business slows, plus they had all always been good to us and our dog. So, we decided to keep her there and have not regretted our decision at all.

State of the Art Care and a Top Notch Staff

Posted by thewulf on 6/2/2007

I used to work at the Pet Medical Center under Dr. Scott Weeks. I did not leave on the best of terms, but I do not wish to see Dr. Weeks bashed by clients who spent very little time with him, and who used to trust him with the lives of their pets. I know what has been on the news and what Dr. Weeks is accused of. Not to diminish the crimes comitted against any children and their families, but I saw Dr. Weeks all the time, spent the day with him,his wife, and his kids on two separate occassions outside of the clinic. I am a big fan of Psychology and Sociology and I have more text books than most practicing head-shrinkers!! I am aware of most of the lesser known "tells" that would call attention to a predator. I never once heard or saw Dr. Weeks exhibit any behavior that was even remotely questionable. With ANYONE, let alone a child! I know that doesn't make him innocent, but it sure as hell should afford him the right to be tried and found guilty in a court of law BEFORE people turn on him and villify him in public. And did no one think of the damage done to his wife and kids by all this nasty publicity? The people who are outraged over the violation of a child are no less guilty than the accused when they enable the same magnitude of psychological damage to be done to one child in the name of justice for another child. I hope his children can forgive those who were so busy condemning their father before his "due process", that they forgot "Two wrongs do not make a right". Kimbreley Hartmangruber, C.Ph.T.
